Iraqi army raids Iranian opposition camp
The Iraqi military have taken control of Camp Ashraf, a walled residential area north of Baghdad that has been a home for Iranian exiles of Mojahedin e Khalq for more than two decades.
When I was in Washington DC last March, I saw a group Ashraf supporters demonstrating peacefully in front of the White House, and I talked with their leader. The group was urging president Obama to guarantee the security of the Ashraf residents against the shia-dominated Iraqi army. Here are the pictures I took:
