Kuwait: female minister refuses to wear hijab

In Kuwait, women have the right to vote since 2005. Last Monday, a woman was sworn in as minister of education: Nouriya Subeeh Barrak Al-Subeeh. Despite prior warnings, she took the oath without wearing a hijab, which led to heavy protests from some islamist-tribalist members of parliament. Have a look at this video:
